Tweed waistcoats

A tweed waistcoat is the piece that finishes an outfit rather than carrying it on its own — worn under a jacket for a formal three-piece look, or on its own over a shirt for smart-casual everyday wear. Cut slim through the body with an adjustable strap at the back, it’s built to sit close without restricting movement.

Fit and sizing. Our waistcoats are cut true to size with an adjustable back strap, so there’s a little built-in room to fine-tune the fit yourself rather than needing an exact size match. If you’re planning to wear it under a jacket with a shirt and jumper underneath, consider sizing up slightly for comfortable layering.

How to wear it. Pair it directly with one of our Tweed Jackets or Tweed Suits for a complete three-piece look at a wedding or formal event. On its own, over a shirt with the sleeves rolled, it works as a smart-casual layer for everyday wear without needing the full jacket.

Care. Wool tweed waistcoats hold their shape well through regular wear — brush them down after use and dry clean only occasionally, since the fabric naturally resists creasing.
