Men Tweed Suits
A tweed suit is the alternative to plain navy or grey for anyone who wants a three-piece that still looks warm, textured and distinctly British — built from real wool tweed rather than a wool-poly blend. It’s become a particular favourite with grooms and guests at country weddings and barn weddings, where a flat grey suit can feel out of place against stone walls and open fields.
Each suit is sold as a true three-piece: jacket, waistcoat and trousers, cut from the same cloth so the whole outfit — herringbone, barleycorn or classic brown and green checks — matches exactly rather than being pieced together from separate items.
Fit and sizing. Our tweed suits run true to size with a tailored, structured cut through the jacket and a comfortable, not-too-slim leg on the trousers. If you’re planning to wear a shirt and tie underneath with no extra layers, true to size is right; if you want room for a jumper under the waistcoat on a cold day, consider sizing up.
How to wear it. For a wedding or formal day, wear the full three-piece with a tie or cravat and brogues. If you’d rather keep the jacket and waistcoat separate from a formal kilt outfit, our Prince Charlie Jackets and Argyll Jackets are the traditional Highland-dress route instead. For a less formal event, the jacket alone works over a shirt without the tie — see our standalone Tweed Jackets if that’s closer to what you need.
Care. Brush the jacket and trousers after wear to lift dust from the weave, and dry clean sparingly — wool tweed is naturally resistant to creasing and odour, so it needs far less maintenance than a standard suit.
Every suit below is genuine wool, made as a matching three-piece, and available true to size.
