Kilt Shop
A kilt should hold its shape, move with you, and actually look like a kilt — not a costume. That’s the only standard we build to. Every kilt in this shop is made from real wool, cut and pleated the traditional way, and available in any tartan you choose.
What You’ll Find Here
We keep this kilt shop simple — four kinds of kilt, each built for a different reason to wear one:
- Scottish Kilts — the everyday, do-everything kilt. Traditional tartan construction, suited to Highland events, formal wear, or just wearing one because you want to.
- Irish Kilts — Irish tartan and saffron kilt styles, including options built for Irish weddings.
- 8-Yard Wool Kilts — the full traditional construction, heavier wool, fuller pleat, built for formal occasions and ceremonies where the kilt needs to hold its drape all day.
- Great Kilts — the historic belted plaid, worn the way Highlanders wore it before the tailored kilt existed. For reenactment, Highland Games, or anyone who wants the real thing.
Built the Traditional Way
Every kilt is handmade, fully lined, and reinforced at the waist the way a real wool kilt should be — not the lightweight stitching you’ll find on a costume-shop version. Choose your tartan, choose standard or custom waist sizing, and we make it to order.
Finding Your Kilt
Not sure which one fits your occasion? A Scottish kilt covers most needs. If you’re dressing for a wedding, ceremony, or anything formal, the 8-yard wool kilt is worth the extra weight and structure. If you’re after something historically accurate rather than modern-tailored, that’s the Great Kilt.
Browse the four kilt styles above, pick your tartan, and we’ll build it to your measurements.
