Tweed trousers are a heavier, more textured alternative to plain wool suit trousers — built from the same genuine wool tweed as our jackets and coats, so they hold their shape and keep you warm through a full day outdoors. We also cut a plus fours style: the traditional knee-length country trouser, worn with long socks and originally designed for shooting and golf.

Fit and sizing. Standard tweed trousers are cut true to size with a comfortable, not-too-slim leg. Plus fours run slightly fuller through the knee to allow movement and to sit correctly bloused over the top of the sock — if you’re ordering plus fours for the first time, true to size is still the right starting point.

How to wear them. Pair tweed trousers with a Tweed Jacket or Tweed Waistcoat for a complete country outfit. Plus fours are traditionally worn with long wool socks and brogues for shooting, golf or a country estate day.

Care. Brush tweed trousers after wear rather than washing often — genuine wool naturally resists creasing and holds up well to repeated outdoor use.

Every pair below is made from genuine wool tweed, true to size.
